Abstract
On the night of 3 to 4 February 1825, there was a very severe storm surge. From the Netherlands to the north of Denmark, there were high water levels that caused extensive damage. For Germany, it was the highest storm surge observed until February 1962. The atmospheric data based on the data from the Twentieth Century Reanalysis Project dataset. For the lateral boundaries the FES2004 tide data is used. The hydrodynamic model TRIM-NP is used for the calculation of water levels.
