HONDA KORAIDON CREATED WITH
ENGINEERING SKILL & THE POWER OF DREAMS

Legendary Pokémon Koraidon is the beloved mascot of "Pokémon Scarlet" (released in 2022), a game that has captivated adults and children alike across the globe.

Many people have played with it and encountered it with its many different movements and builds — within the game itself. But lots of players have wondered: what if we could actually move about atop a form of Koraidon in the real world?

Well, some grown-up Honda engineers felt the same, and decided...

"With the power of Honda's technology, let's try to recreate Koraidon's mobility in real life!"

Honda is made up of people who wish to harness the power of dreams to spread happiness around people and society. We wanted to make our own "Honda Koraidon" future mobility ourselves, to share the joy of creating by showing everyone how fun it can be. This led to the launch of the “Honda Koraidon Project” formed by a group of passionate Honda engineers.

Our project team is composed of Honda employees from the Motorcycle and Power Products Operations and Innovative Research Excellence, who answered a voluntary call-out. The goal of the project is to create a moving form of the "Sprinting Build" of Koraidon that appears in Pokémon Scarlet.
Reproducing the shape of Koraidon was no easy task, but we wanted to create something that is as close to Pokémon Scarlet's Koraidon as possible, down to the finest details.

Our non-negotiables were:

  • For its weight and size to be as close to Koraidon itself
  • For it to look like Koraidon's Sprinting Build and to be self-standing
  • For its limbs, head and neck to move just like Koraidon's
  • And for Honda Koraidon to be rideable, of course!

And we’d do this by using Honda’s specialist mobility technology.

The team has been working hard since the project kicked off in August 2024, and now we’re finally ready to share “Honda Koraidon” with the world.

And this is still only the beginning…

There's so much more to come. Day by day, we’re figuring out ways to make our “Honda Koraidon” even better, utilizing the design philosophy and simulation technology developed by our Motorcycle Division, and incorporating the ever-improving Honda Riding Assist balancing capability.

At long last, thanks to Honda’s special technology (and our engineering ambition!), we are ready to share our continuously evolving “Honda Koraidon” in its current form, with you.

This is mobility born from a group of adults' devotion to fulfilling their dreams — dreams can come true, step by step. Are you ready?
