The new spinoff follows 'TMZ Live,' which airs on Fox stations across the country.

TMZ Sports is ready for its TV kickoff.

The spinoff of the successful syndicated magazine show TMZ is set to launch in late night on FS1 on Nov. 9, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution announced Monday.

The half-hour program will air Monday through Friday at midnight, with the exception of 12:30 a.m. on Wednesdays following Garbage Time With Katie Nolan, and focus on news stories about famous faces in the sports world both on and off the field. Recent headline-making coverage on the TMZ Sports website, which launched in 2009, includes ex-NBA player Lamar Odom's health battles and former Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling's fall from grace.

"TMZ Sports offers a window into the world where sport and celebrity cultures intersect — whether at a party, movie premiere or an ordinary day," said Fox Sports National Networks president Jamie Horowitz. "To both avid and casual sports fans, these stories are captivating."

Added TMZ executive president Harvey Levin: "We're incredibly excited to be on FS1. We’re hoping our show adds a new dimension to sports coverage, and this network feels like the perfect place to park our humor, irreverence and news gathering."

Levin will exec produce with Levin and Evan Rosenblum. The show is produced by Harvey Levin Productions, Inc. and paraMedia inc. in association with Telepictures.

TMZ, which premiered on Fox stations in 2007, currently ranks as the top first-run entertainment news program among young adults, men and women 18-34 and 18-49 for the season to date.

TMZ Sports is the latest big acquisition by Fox Sports, which lured popular sports personality Colin Cowherd and his long-running show, "The Herd With Colin Cowherd" in August.
