CS:GO Roster Update: Welcome Back, Lekr0!

Rebuilding a roster is always difficult. When we set out on putting together a new look CS:GO side, we knew what we wanted to achieve from the outset: a higher level of consistency, stronger team performances while also posting an emphasis on young talent and clear leadership.

Yesterday we announced the first set of changes to the Fnatic CS:GO lineup, Maikil ‘Golden’ Selim promoted to the roster as IGL, while Andreas ‘Samuelsson’ Samuelsson takes over as the new Team Manager.

Today we announce the final piece of our puzzle - we’re so happy to be welcoming Jonas ‘Lekr0’ Olofsson back to Fnatic!

Now starting his second spell with the team, he’ll complete a lineup seething with young talent. With these changes, we’ve managed to lock in some of Sweden’s best up and coming players to long term contracts, with the ambition that we will be providing much greater stability and team growth over time.

That does however mean we must say goodbye to another of our stars. Dennis “Dennis” Edman has been a wonderful servant to Fnatic since joining the side at the end of 2015, a time that we as an organisation will always cherish. He is one of, if not the best pistol player in the world, and while in recent months we haven’t achieved the results we wanted to as a team, we are hopeful that he will still reach the heights of which he’s capable.

Dennis has been traded to GODSENT.

Now he begins a new challenge, moving in the opposite direction to join GODSENT.

This change now completes our lineup ahead of DreamHack Masters Malmo starting 30/8, before ELEAGUE in mid-September. We can’t wait to see what they’ve got!

"Dennis joined our team in late 2015 and his addition immediately kicked off one of team’s most successful eras in CS:GO, winning FACEIT, EPL, SLTV and IEM in just a few months. We are so thankful for the time we’ve been working together, and I want to wish him a big GLHF at his future endeavours in gaming and life.

Filling Dennis’ position in the team is none other than Lekr0, a player we grew very fond of last year, and also a player we believe has massive potential that we hope to unlock in this new iteration of Fnatic CS:GO.

From all of us at Fnatic I would like to once again thank Dennis and celebrate his amazing run with us. Also please join us once again welcoming Lekr0 back to our organisation!" - Patrik 'cArn' Sättermon

"We ruled, we struggled, all journeys will come to an end and this is the end of our journey. We all gave it another chance but what we once had was no where to be found. But this doesnt mean that sad times is ahead of us, rather the opposite! Now we can use all we have learned these past few months and become even better players! A new chapter is ahead of us and only time will tell if its a good chapter or a bad one." - Dennis 'Dennis' Edman
