You're lucky if you've never been caught out by Ryanair's strict baggage policies. But flying with them is about to come with yet more rules and restrictions.

The airline has announced a new 2025 boarding rule that'll change the way many passengers fly. But a simple £20 gadget will help travellers avoid being fined.

Investing in a portable charger means you'll be able to ditch the extra travel costs. The Mirror recommends Belkin's nifty 10K powerbank, which boosts with up to 20W, ensuring your phone won't run out of charge.

Ryanair will go paperless from May, meaning travellers will only be allowed to use digital boarding passes. And if you forget to download your ticket to your device, or your phone runs out of juice, you'll face an extra fee.

Ryanair currently charges £66 for forgetting a printed pass, each way, but soon a physical ticket will no longer be an option.

A portable charger could save you a heavy fine- this £17.99 from Amazon is another affordable option, and Argos offers another £24 Belkin model.

The lightweight £24.99 powerbank contains a surprising amount of power considering its price. It plugs straight into a mobile and then has another USBC port to plug into a second device.

The product has been rated full-five stars from satisfied customers for its efficient speedy charging.

Deeming it reliable and lightweight, one person said: "It’s nice, compact, and durable. It charges at a steady pace and is very convenient for on-the-go travel.

"My coworker has an iPhone 16 and it works perfectly for the newer model. Might have to purchase an extra cable to charge the device itself but that’s alright."

Another shopper said: "This charger is a lifesaver! The power went out due to heavy storms and this battery was able to keep my phone and even my laptop up and running."

But some users did say its power level wasn't quite high enough for them. "It’s only 10kWh, little to low for me", said one shopper.

Speaking about the decision to go paperless, Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary said: “We’re phasing out check-in desks, just as we’ve already streamlined luggage counters. Everything will be done digitally through the app."
