🚨 Falck Fire Services Secures Eurotunnel Contract 🚨 We are thrilled to announce that Falck Fire Services UK has been awarded the First Line of Response (FLOR) contract for rescue and firefighting services at the Channel Tunnel, operating at the Longport Terminal in Folkestone, Kent. The Channel Tunnel, or Eurotunnel, is a remarkable 50.3 km rail tunnel under the English Channel, connecting Coquelles near Calais in France to Folkestone near Dover in England. It stands as the world's second-longest underwater tunnel.🚆 At Falck, our mission is to enhance safety and efficiency through unparalleled expertise and support. This significant achievement is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our dedicated employees, whose excellence drives our success every day.👨🚒👩🚒

We’re a guiding hand for people who find themselves in a stressful situation – that’s how Carl describes his job as Operational Coordinator in Global Assistance.    In his role, he answers calls from tourists in need and helps them receive treatment or get home safely. With the winter holiday season at its peak, Carl and his colleagues are currently quite busy, but in this profession there’s no such thing as a quiet time. Our thoughts are with those affected by the tragic incident at Campus Risbergska school in Örebro, Sweden💔 We have fully activated our crisis support with emergency lines open to help those affected. In Uruguay, ambulances have green lights💚 Here's one of our ambulances at the beach in Montevideo 🚑🌟 Easy access to quality healthcare is fundamental in the development and continuous support of healthy and resilient societies. And over the past three years, our 775 employees in Uruguay have grown our customer base by doing just that. We now have more than 300,000 customers that we are servicing and making sure that they have access to affordable healthcare🩺 We are proud to provide on-call medical services in Uruguay to ensure easy access to healthcare so that more people can live healthy lives💓 #WeTurnCareIntoAction

🌍🚑 Advancing Sustainable Healthcare: Falck’s science-based near term targets approved🚑🌍 As a responsible healthcare company, we are committed to reducing our emissions. With 2024 marking the warmest year on record, the urgency to accelerate sustainable healthcare solutions and transition away from fossil fuels is more pressing than ever. Falck is implementing a wide range of initiatives to meet our science-based targets: 🎯 Getting the data right to identify the right initiatives to take 🤝 Engaging the right people - across our organisation and collaborating with suppliers and customers 🚑 Investing in transition our 4,000-vehicle fleet to electric models, planning investments in renewable energy, and identifying healthcare equipment with lower climate impact. To reduce our emissions and move towards a more sustainable healthcare system, we are also exploring and expanding new ways of delivering healthcare. This includes health-at-home solutions, expanding telemedicine, and more focus on the prevention of illnesses.
