His wife and children are mortally afraid of him when he is in this condition and keep out of his way. At the saloon one day he provokes a quarrel with the one doctor of the town and wounds him with a shot from his gun. Broncho's children playing Indian, get their father's gun and the little girl is shot. The doctor is called but cannot come and the little girl dies a victim of her father's craving for the demon rum.
