The seven monitors display image sequences mapping fragments of memory and direct experience. In the peculiar stasis and dynamism of the image sequences, the interstices opened up by the seven monitors point toward an understanding of time diverging from our sense of its one-way passage, or relentless forward flow. The monitors also display a meditation on images referring to the origins of cinema. As has been oft-repeated, cinema indeed played a role in dissolving boundaries between subject and object in systems of thought, and in extending the limits of accessible experience.
