It develops through the confrontations between a SSA employee (Jacob) and couple of unemployed men, one of which will eventually replace the former behind the desk. Jacob is an unpleasant person, but his arrogance and self-absorption only hide the loneliness that accompanies a man who focused his life on his job without realising that he's compromising his social life, alienating himself from his work colleagues, who could potentially be his friends, and attracting the concern of his boss, who takes the first opportunity to fire Jacob and force him to rethink the way he's been conducting his life.
