Publications such as The Independent, Drummer Magazine UK and Confluence among others have critically appreciated his style, comparing it to that of a tabla virtuoso. Heart of Rhythm documents his return to India, where he plays a classical Indian rhythm set for his master or Guruji, Pandit Suresh Talwalkar. A 15 minute short documentary, 'Heart of Rhythm' has become a passion project for both Bernhard and I in the recent months, and explores his growth and journey so far, deeply rooted in Indian culture among his other eclectic influences.
