There is room for 12 residents who have hit the bottom of domestic violence and/or divorce. But in addition, the center has advised about 2000 men over a year. When men go down, they go all the way down, says one of the therapists on the spot. They are often worse at talking about their problems and often do not have as strong a network as women. So when they come to the man's center, they have often lost everything; Their wives, their work, their home, the opportunity to be a proper father of their children and their identity as men. Especially being a decent father is strongly on their minds. It is the role of father who prevents them from completely dropping the roof - and that is also the role that makes them fight back and gain a foothold again. Written by
