Aamir Khan's 60th birthday revelations: Love with Gauri Spratt, her comparison with Katrina Kaif, marriage plans and Andaz Apna Apna 2

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan celebrated his 60th birthday on March 14, leaving fans and media in utter disbelief with a series of personal and professional revelations. While the internet is still coming to terms with Aamir’s statements, here’s everything he disclosed on his milestone birthday.
Personal life: A new chapter with Gauri Spratt
Aamir introduced his girlfriend, Gauri Spratt, to the media on March 13, a day before his birthday.
This revelation follows Aamir’s divorce from Kiran Rao in 2021 after 16 years of marriage. Before Kiran, Aamir was married to Reena Dutta.
Gauri is the third woman in Aamir’s life and has been his friend for over two decades. They reconnected only recently, over a year ago, through his cousin Nuzhat Khan.
Gauri is a Bengaluru-based entrepreneur with a hairdressing business and also works at Aamir Khan Productions.
She is the mother of a six-year-old son.
Aamir and Gauri’s romantic relationship has been ongoing for about 18 months.
Gauri has already met Aamir’s family, close friends, and even Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan.
Aamir’s children from his previous marriages have also been introduced to Gauri, and she has been welcomed warmly by his family.
Aamir expressed, "I was looking for someone who I can be calm with, who gives me peace. And there she was."
On why he decided to go public with his relationship, he said, "We are committed now, and we felt secure enough to tell you guys. Now, if I go for coffee with her, you can join us too."
On marriage plans, Aamir humorously responded, "We are fully committed. But at 60, shaadi shayad mujhe shobha nahi degi (marriage at 60 may not suit me)."
Gauri Spratt stated that Aamir’s family welcomed her warmly, and she felt embraced by them.
She has been working with a popular salon since 2007 and holds a degree in fashion, styling, and photography from the University of Arts, London.
Aamir has been preparing Gauri for media scrutiny and has even hired private security for her.
Interestingly, Gauri has only watched two of Aamir’s films, Dil Chahta Hai and Lagaan.
Aamir playfully stated, "My girlfriend is prettier than Katrina Kaif. I feel like home when I am with her."
Wrapping up the conversation, Aamir humorously referenced his film Lagaan and said, "Bhuvan ko uski Gauri mil hi gayi."
An old video from February 2025 of Aamir and Gauri attending Irfan Pathan’s anniversary party has gone viral, featuring Aamir’s ex-wives, Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao.
Aamir’s elder sister Nikhat Khan Hegde shared with ETimes, "I am very happy for both of them and wish them happiness always."

Professional announcements
Aamir confirmed his next project, Sitaare Zameen Par, a thematic sequel to Taare Zameen Par.
Directed by RS Prasanna, the film will be released in June 2025.
"It is many steps ahead of Taare Zameen Par. This time, 10 special people are the protagonists, and I play the antagonist," Aamir revealed.
He is also producing Lahore 1947, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, starring Preity Zinta and Sunny Deol.
"Javed Akhtar has seen the first cut and believes it will do well," Aamir said.
Aamir is assembling a team for a grand adaptation of the Hindu epic Mahabharata.
"We are just starting the writing process. We are putting together a team and fleshing out ideas," he confirmed.
Aamir revealed his passion for singing, stating that he has been learning music from guruji Sucheta Bhattacharjee for the past two years.

Andaz Apna Apna 2 in the works?
Aamir confirmed that work on Andaz Apna Apna 2 has begun.
He and Salman Khan are eager to collaborate on the sequel.
"Rajkumar Santoshi is working on the script. As soon as it’s ready, Salman and I would love to do it. I think audiences would enjoy watching it," Aamir shared.
