‘Many years since I saw Elon almost crying …’: Elon Musk seems to be almost 'choking' in interview talking about Tesla struggles and ...
Tesla CEO Elon Musk looked visibly uneasy and emotional during a recent interview on Fox Business when asked about the struggles of his companies. During the interview with Larry Kudlow, Musk admitted he was managing multiple businesses “with great difficulty” as Tesla’s stock suffered its worst drop in over three years and his social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), faced technical issues. Tesla’s stock has dropped by 15.4%, marking its steepest decline since September 2020. The company is also facing a global slowdown in electric vehicle sales, adding to Musk’s challenges.
The video was shared by a X user – Umbisam @Umbisam with a caption that reads: “Many years since I saw Elon almost crying in an interview, it comes to mind when top astronauts called SpaceX failures and he said ‘I’ll never give up’, in tears. I believe he’s close to a breakdown. He’s been taken in the wrong place, IMHO. Politics isn’t his playing field.”

In the interview, Musk was discussing budget cuts within the Department for Government Efficiency (DOGE). However, Kudlow unexpectedly shifted the conversation, asking, "Are you giving up your other stuff? How are you running your other businesses?". Musk hesitated, looked down, and replied with a quiet, “With great difficulty.”
He then sighed, seeming momentarily lost for words, before Kudlow quickly moved the discussion forward. Musk had just begun to speak when Kudlow interrupted, steering the conversation back on track. "There's no turning back—you were saying."

Tesla stock’s single-day stop drop

Earlier this week, Tesla's stock plunged 15%—its biggest single-day drop since September 2020. The decline has continued weekly since Musk took charge of the DOGE, which oversees federal spending cuts and workforce reductions.
Tesla investors have raised concerns about Elon Musk's involvement in government activities. Musk has been working with the federal government on efforts to cut waste and reduce spending, which some investors fear could be taking time away from his leadership at Tesla.
Additionally, Tesla facilities have been targeted in multiple attacks, including incidents of vandalism and gunfire. Authorities have suggested that these attacks may be linked to Musk's political activities and government involvement.

President Donald Trump buys Tesla

In show of solidarity and support to Musk, US President Donald Trump recently bought a shiny red Tesla with the tech billionaire by his side. “Number one, it's a great product, as good as it gets—and number two, because @ElonMusk has devoted his energy and his life to doing this and I think he has been treated very unfairly…,” Trump wrote in a post.
