DISCOVER DETAILS OF OUR READING PROGRAM

1️⃣ LEARNING LETTERS
Your child will develop a strong foundation in letter recognition, letter-sound knowledge, and other pre-reading skills. You will guide them as they practice writing letters, develop phonemic awareness, and deepen their understanding of letter sounds through interactive games.

2️⃣ BLENDING LETTERS
In this phase, your kid will use their knowledge of letter-sounds to begin blending letters together to read words. Your child will become adept at using our sound sliders to support them in decoding words with short vowel sounds and both slow & fast consonants.

3️⃣ READING BOOKS
Once your child has a foundation in word-blending skills, it’s time to read books! Together you will read fun and engaging stories, reveal hidden pictures, and check for understanding by answering comprehension questions.

4️⃣ ADVANCED DECODING
In this phase, your kid will learn about long vowel sounds, digraphs, and irregular sight words, as well as how to approach common types of punctuation.

5️⃣ READING FLUENCY
In this final phase of reading development, your child will learn to read smoothly and accurately by expanding their sight word knowledge, vocabulary, and exposure to more complex text.

This app is worth it. My daughter needs the daily repetition of letter names and vowel sounds. It teaches phonics, blending, and sight words. You sit with your child and help them along when they are reading and working through the levels which I love. There are coloring word pages as well as games to print out along the way. She's already on level 62, and I know we will both be sad when it's over. I would love for higher levels for this so she could continue her reading practice.

The content, curriculum, and activities are absolutely amazing. This is, without a doubt, the best app for teaching kids to read. That said, the app is pretty terrible at picking up taps. Too often, you have to tap something several times before it'll register, and don't get me started on the undo button in the freehand writing portions of lessons. The undo button is positioned on top of the canvas, and its hit box is miniscule. You end up drawing a million dots on top of the button instead

Thank you for your kind words about the app and your thoughtful review! We’re so glad you love the content and activities. We also truly appreciate your detailed feedback about the tap recognition and the undo button in the writing section. This is incredibly helpful, and I'll make sure to pass it along to our development team for improvement!

I love this app, and it's great for letter recognition. However, the books are introduced WAY too early, and there isn't enough educational support to help kids jump from the words to the books. The books are too long and have become frustrating to finish for both myself and my son.
