Abstract

1,080,433. Packaging; dispensing boxes. PARKE, DAVIS & CO. April 13, 1966 [April 14, 1965], No. 16285/66. Headings B8C and B8P. A carton or bag 10 contains discrete groups of articles 18, 20, 22 &c., eg: surgical sponges; arranged in layers and a contents removing device consisting of strips 36 extending in a zig-zag fashion between the groups from the top to the bottom of the package, the lower end portion 39 of the strip extending upwards between the edge of the lowest group 32 and the package wall. The end 39 may be held frictionally between the package wall and the groups, the sponges being held slightly compressed in a tight fitting bag, Or may be alternatively secured to the bag wall. The strip may be coloured to contrast with the sponges. The strip may extend the full package width or may be a string of tape as shown.
