Abstract

1,189,147. Unpackaging; cartons. RANK XEROX Ltd. 26 April, 1967 [29 April, 1966], No. 19128/67. Headings B8C and B8P. [Also in Division G2] A toner package 40 has a rectangular cardboard body having a top 42, sides 44, ends 46, 48, and a bottom 52. The bottom is formed by a tear strip provided with a tab 54 having an opening 66 engaged by a stripping member 62. End 48 has a plastics sleeve which is used for filling the container; the sleeve is normally closed by a band 50. In use, the toner package and member 62 are placed in a toner dispenser having guide rails (58), Fig. 1 (not shown). The toner is released as the tear strip is removed by sliding member 62 in the guide rails 58.
