Abstract

188,260. Burt, B. C. Jan. 17, 1922. Rackets.-The usual stringing of tennis, badminton, &c. rackets is supplemented by bracing- strings shown by thick lines in Fig. 2. These strings pass from the wedge to the side and thence to the head, and instead of being interwoven in the ordinary under and over method of stringing, lie in approximately straight lines between the horizontal and vertical strings as indicated in Fig. 7. The bracing-strings may be continued to form part of the ordinary stringing as shown in Fig. 4. The bracing-strings may be flat so as to lie evenly between the ordinary stringing. Specification 19599/10 is referred to.
