Abstract

A support device includes a supporting arm 30 supported on a stationary base 10, a carrier 40 attached to the supporting arm for supporting an object on the carrier and the supporting arm. A cable connecting device 5 includes a cable member 50 engaged into the supporting arm, the cable member includes a first and second end portion 51, 53. A connector member 52 attached to the first end portion of the cable member and exposed and reachable from outside of the supporting arm, and a connector element 54 is attached to the second end portion of the cable member and extended out of the supporting arm. The second end portion of the cable member is extended out of the supporting arm.

Description

STABLE SUPPORT DEVICE
The invention relates to a stable support device for solidly and stably supporting the carrier and the objects, such as the monitors, the displays, the keyboards, the antenna members, or the like, and including an improved and simplified structure or configuration or mechanism for easily and quickly and readily connecting or coupling to the objects with cables or wires.
Various kinds of typical carriers or support devices have been developed and comprise a supporting member or carrier member attached or mounted or supported on a supporting stand and for supporting various objects, such as monitors, displays, keyboards, antenna members, or the like.
For example, U.S. Patent No. 5,553,820 to Karten et al., U.S. Patent No. 5,713,549 to Shieh, U.S. Patent No. 6,213,438 to Ostby et al., U.S. Patent No. 6,796,537 to Lin, U.S. Patent No. 6,863,252 to Bosson, U.S. Patent No. 7,413,152 to Chen, U.S. Patent No. 7,644,897 to Shin, and U.S. Patent No. 7,784,747 to Gan et al. disclose several of the typical support devices or carrier devices each also comprising a support member or carrier member pivotally or rotatably attached or mounted or coupled to a supporting stand with one or more pivotal arms for supporting various objects, such as monitors, displays, keyboards, antenna members, or the like.
However, normally, the support members and the supporting stands may only be used for supporting various objects, such as monitors, displays, keyboards, antenna members, or the like, but may not be used for connecting or coupling to cables or wires. Additional attachments or adaptors are further required to be provided and randomly disposed around the support members for connecting or coupling the objects, such as monitors, displays, keyboards, antenna members, or the like to the electric reservoir with cables or wires.
It is accordingly an object of the present invention to provide a stable support device for solidly and stably supporting the carrier and the objects, such as the monitors, the displays, the keyboards, the antenna members, or the like, and including an improved and simplified structure or configuration or mechanism for easily and quickly and readily connecting or coupling to the objects with cables or wires.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
According to the invention there is provided a stable support device comprising:-a stationary base, a supporting arm supported on the stationary base, a carrier attached to the supporting arm for supporting an object, such as a monitor, a display, a keyboard, an antenna member, or the like, on the carrier and the supporting arm, and a cable connecting device includes a cable member engaged into the supporting arm, the cable member includes a first end portion and a second end portion, a connector member is attached to the first end portion of the cable member and exposed and reachable from outside of the supporting arm for coupling to various electrical appliances or facilities, and a connector element is attached to the second end portion of the cable member and extended out of the supporting arm for coupling to various electrical appliances or facilities or the like without additional attachments or adaptors.
The first end portion of the cable member is preferably disposed or engaged in a lower portion of the supporting arm. A plug may further be provided and engaged with the connector member.
The supporting arm includes an opening formed in the supporting arm, and the second end portion of the cable member is extended out through the opening of the supporting arm and extended out of the supporting arm. The opening is formed in a middle portion of the supporting arm, and the second end portion of the cable member is extended out of the opening that is formed in the middle portion of the supporting arm.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating a stable support device; FIG. 2 is another perspective view similar to FIG. 1, illustrating the operation of the stable support device; FIG. 3 is a further perspective view similar to FIGS. 1 and 2, illustrating the operation of the stable support device; FIG. 4 is a still further perspective view similar to FIGS. 1, 2 20 and 3, illustrating the operation of the stable support device; DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT Referring to FIG. 1, a stable support device comprises a stable supporting stand 1 including a stationary base 10 having a depression or recess 11 formed therein for pivotally or rotatably 25 receiving or supporting or engaging with a rotary disc or seat 12 therein. The supporting stand 1 further includes another projection or upright column or supporting arm 30 for engaging with the seat 12 and for stably or solidly securing or anchoring or retaining or positioning or supporting the supporting arm 30 on the stationary base 10 at the perpendicular or tilted or inclined or upright position relative to the stationary base 10, as shown in FIGS. 1-4.
For example, the supporting arm 30 may be solidly or stably attached or mounted or secured to the seat 12 and/or the stationary base 10 with welders, adhesive materials, screws or bolts or latches or fasteners (not illustrated), or may be detachably or changeably or removably attached or mounted or secured to the seat 12 and/or the stationary base 10 with hinges, latches, or catches, or the like (not illustrated). The supporting arm 30 includes one or more (such as two) longitudinal slots or grooves 32, 33 formed therein, such as formed in the upper portion 31 thereof and parallel to each other, for slidably engaging with or for slidably attaching or mounting or supporting a carrier 40 to the upper portion 31 of the supporting arm 30.
For example, the carrier 40 may be attached or mounted or secured to the upper portion 31 of the supporting arm 30 with welders, adhesive materials, screws or bolts or latches or fasteners 41. The carrier 40 may be provided for engaging with and for supporting various objects 45 (FIGS. 2-4), such as monitors, displays, keyboards, antenna members, or the like and for detachably or removably or adjustably supporting the objects 45 on the supporting arm 30 and the stationary base 10. The above-described sliding attachment or engagement of the carrier 40 with the supporting arm 30 is not related to the present invention and will not be described in further details.
The supporting arm 30 further includes an opening 34 formed therein, such as formed in the middle or intermediate portion 35 of the supporting arm 30. A wire or cable connecting device 5 includes a wire or cable member 50 disposed or engaged into the supporting arm 30, the cable member 50 includes one or first end portion 51 disposed or located in the lower or bottom portion 36 of the supporting arm 30, and a terminal or plug or connector member 52 is attached or mounted or secured to or connected or coupled to the one or first end portion 51 of the cable member 50, and exposed or extended out of the lower portion 36 of the supporting arm 30, and/or reachable from outside of the supporting arm 30.
For example, the connector member 52 may be provided for connecting or coupling to or for engaging with a connector element or plug 60 (FIG. 2), 62 (FIG. 3), or 64 (FIG. 4) or the like. The cable connecting device 5 further includes another connector member or connector element 54 attached or mounted or secured to or connected or coupled to the other or second end portion 53 of the cable member 50 for connecting or coupling to various electrical appliances or facilities (not illustrated). The other or second end portion 53 of the cable member 50 is extended out through the opening 34 of the supporting arm 30, and/or extended out of the middle portion 35 of the supporting arm 30.
The cable member 50 of the cable connecting device 5 and/or the connector member 52 and/or the connector element 54 and/or the plug 60, 62, 64 may be selected from a universal series bus (USB) Type (Type A, Type B, Type C), USB Mini (Mini A, Mini B), USB Micro (Micro A, Micro B), HDMI, DisplayPort, Lightning, or the like.
In operation, as shown in FIG. 2, the plug 60 may be easily and quickly and readily connected or coupled to various electrical appliances or facilities 70, such as the portable phone or mobile phone 70 with a wire or cable element 61. As shown in FIG. 3, the plug 62 may also be easily and quickly and readily connected or coupled to various electrical appliances or facilities 71, such as the [Pad 71 with a wire or cable element 63. As shown in FIG. 4, the plug 64 may also be easily and quickly and readily connected or coupled to various electrical appliances or facilities 72, such as the notebook 72 with a wire or cable element 65.
It is to be noted that the cable member 50 may be received or engaged in and shielded and protected within the supporting arm 30, and will not be exposed and will not affect the working or the operation of the users.
Accordingly, the stable support device is provided for solidly and stably supporting the carrier and the objects, such as the monitors, the displays, the keyboards, the antenna members, or the like, and includes an improved and simplified structure or configuration or mechanism for easily and quickly and readily connecting or coupling to the objects with cables or wires.

Claims (5)

  1. CLAI NIS:- 1 A support device comprising: a stationary base, a supporting arm supported on the stationary base, a carrier attached to the supporting arm for supporting an object on the carrier and the supporting arm, and a cable connecting device including a cable member engaged into the supporting arm, the cable member including a first end portion and a second end portion, a connector member attached to 10 the first end portion of the cable member and exposed and reachable from outside of the supporting arm, and a connector element attached to the second end portion of the cable member and extended out of the supporting arm.
  2. 2. A support device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the first end 15 portion of the cable member is disposed in a lower portion of the supporting arm.
  3. 3. A support device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the supporting arm includes an opening formed in the supporting arm, and the second end portion of the cable member is extended out through the opening of the supporting arm and extended out of the supporting arm.
  4. 4. A support device as claimed in claim 3, wherein the opening formed in a middle portion of the supporting arm, and the second end portion of the cable member is extended out of the middle 25 portion of the supporting arm.
  5. 5. A support device as claimed in claim 1, wherein a plug is engaged with the connector member.
