Class 122(iii) Also in Group XXVIII] A sealing ring 12 of resilient material suitable for use in a pipe coupling has outwardly converging ends 14, 15 formed with concentric annular grooves defined by trapezoidal section annular ribs 16, 17 and an outer side 13 tapering from one end to the other of the ring. The inner ribs 16b, 17b and outer ribs 16a, 17a are wider than the intermediate ribs and the inner side of the ring is shaped to provide two inwardly directed lips 18, 19.
