Class 38(5) [Also in Group XXXVI] A thermal cut-out which responds to excessive temperature of associated apparatus, excessive current or a combination of both, comprises a pair of metal strips 2, 3 held in spaced relation in a tubular body 7 by an end plug 13, their inner ends being flexed towards each other and held together by fusible material 6 which may or may not be conductive. The end of strip 3 is bent so as to form substantially a right angle with strip 2.
