Abstract

797,479. Egg cartons. PESCHARDT, M. J. H. Aug. 21, 1956 [May 9, 1956], No. 25535/56. Class 18. An egg carton, preferably of moulded fibre, has inwardly projecting tubular elements 3, 3a, engaging the eggs. The elements may be cylindrical or frusto-conical and ribs 7, 7a may be provided where they join the base and top of the carton. The carton may be in two separate portions or the portions may be hinged. Notches 5, 5a assist ventilation when the cartons are stacked. The elements 3, 3a are open at both ends permitting viewing and candling of the eggs in the carton.
