A tamper-proof package of parallelepipedic shape for holding a rigid product 11 is formed from a sheet of flexible material in which slits and fold lines 3, 4 are made so that when formed, one of its faces has a longitudinal slot flanked by marginal strips 10 which extend beyond the fold lines 4 of adjacent faces 6 to which they are fastened. The rectangular blank, Fig. 1 (not shown), has four transverse slits extending inwards from each margin, respective pairs being joined by fold lines, and two further fold lines dividing up the blank lengthwise. The sheet may be of cardboard or of synthetic resin material, and the ends fastened by welding, glueing, stapling or by fitting eyelets.
