951,245. Pneumatic conveyers. GAS COUNCIL. Sept. 21, 1961 [Sept. 30, 1960], No. 33607/60. Heading B8A. [Also in Division F1] In a method of transferring solid particles by fluids introduced into a container 10, Fig. 1, having a perforated or porous fluidizing bed 11, additional conveying fluid is introduced into the upper part of the container for transferring the particles upwardly through the outlet 18. The solid particles are introduced through a pipe 12 at the side of the container and the additional fluid may be introduced through a pipe 15 passing through the porous bed 11. In a modification the additional fluid is introduced with the solid particles, through the pipe 12, and the pipe 15 is omitted. Specification 951,247 is referred to.
