()ur invention relates to an extension table or the like.

The general object of our invention is to provide an improved form of extension table, which will be of substantially conventional appearance, sturdy and simple in construction, and which will permit theefieotive area of the table to be readily enlarged.

A more specific object of the invention is to provide an extension table having a swinging leg, which may be folded up and housed beneath the table when not in use. V v

In said drawing, 5 indicates a table top, which may be supported either directly upon rigid legs 66 or upon an apron or side rail 7 supported by the legs 66. In order to form an extension table, Iprovide a hingedly mounted leg, which may be swung down into floor engaging position. In the form shown, the side 9' of the side rail 7 is extensibly connected to the table proper as by means of sliding arms 1010, which may be readily drawn outwardly and pushed inwardly. The extension arms:1010 may be connected to each other andto the table proper by suitable means, such as a pin and slot connection including an angular pin 11 fitting within the slot 12 sothat the extension members 1010 will be reasonably rigid when extended outwardly in a horizontal plane. It will thus be seen that a table constructed in accordance with our invention may resemble an ordinary table of a certainsize when not extended, and when extended may be double its normal size and all parts will be rigidly and safely supported. The table may be of neat appearance either when extended, or when not extended, and the parts are of simple construction and are not likely to get out of order. 7 7
