DESIGN FOR A BRUSH-BODY.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 32,435, dated April 3, 1900. Application filed March 5, 1900. Serial No. L420. Term of patent '7 years.

Be it known that I, JOHN L. G. DYKES, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, county of Cook,State ofIl1in0is,haveinvented and produced a certain newand original Design for Brush-Bodies, of which the following is a specificati0n,referenee being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 is a front view of a brush-body embodying my new design. Fig. 2 isa back viewof the same. Fig. 3 is an edge or end view of the brush-body shown in the preceding figures.
As thus illustrated, the brush body is formed with an oblong handle portion 1 and also with a head or socket portion 2. By referring to Fig. 3 it will be seen that the said head or socket portion overhangs the front of the handle-that is to say, the formation is such that the head projects beyond the front surface of the handle and that the back of the handle is flush, or substantially so, with the back of the head. The head and handle are connected by a neck 3.
The essential feature of my design consists in the brush-body formed with a head and a relatively-thin handle, the handle being 0blong in shape and the formation being such that the back of the handle is flush, or substantially so, with the back of the head.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and wish to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a brush-body, substantially as shown and described.
