- Reviewed in the United States on December 28, 2016Over the years, I have found that good, reliable news apps for my Kindle Fire HD7 are very rare. The Fox News app is definitely NOT one of them.
I first tried the Fox News app on my Kindle in 2012. It was a complete failure then – slow to load, devoid of meaningful content, very poor layout. I was so disgusted with it that T removed it from my device.
But Fox News has regularly updated its app, so I recently decided to reinstall it. I hoped things would be better. That is unfortunately not the case; it is still a complete mess. It takes forever to load, and when it does, I get a grand total of three news stories. Then the app spontaneously stops.I tried reinstalling the app and rebooting the device, all to no avail. Fox News simply refuses to run properly on my Kindle.
I do not understand what the problem is. The Fox News app works very well on my other Android devices, but it fails every time on my Kindle Fire HD7. Perhaps there’s a problem with my device, but I doubt it. With the exception of a few system information apps, every other program on my Kindle works well, as does the CNN app that I also have installed.
Obviously, I do not recommend the Fox News app for the Kindle Fire HD7.
