Russian defense firm to demonstrate shipborne air defense systems at IDEX 2025 arms show
The same segment will also demonstrate a self-contained combat module of the Tor-M2KM surface-to-air missile system
MOSCOW, February 14. /TASS/. Russia’s Almaz-Antey Group will demonstrate shipborne air defense systems at the IDEX 2025 international arms show that will run in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on February 17-21, the Group’s press office said on Friday.
"The segment of sea-based air defense systems will feature the Komar turret mount designed for the automatic launch of Igla missiles to protect surface ships in the ultra-short-range area from anti-ship missiles, aircraft and helicopters under natural and radio interference. It is also capable of striking ground and naval targets by Ataka missiles," the press office said in a statement.
The same segment will also demonstrate a self-contained combat module of the Tor-M2KM surface-to-air missile system. Its design allows for mounting it on the decks of vessels and the roofs of buildings for combat use. The surface-to-air missile system can be employed for air defense of vital military and government installations against strikes by aircraft, helicopters, cruise, anti-radiation and other missiles, and also against other air attack weapons.
