MOSCOW, February 25. /TASS/. The Russian Navy is ready to respond to any challenges in operationally significant areas of the World Ocean, Navy Commander-in-Chief Admiral Alexander Moiseyev said on Tuesday.

"The Russian Navy continues its planned presence in operationally significant and important areas of the World Ocean and demonstrates its readiness to respond to tasks of any complexity and address them both on its own and jointly with the naval forces of other states. This is what we have witnessed during these maneuvers," the Russian Defense Ministry quoted the admiral as saying.

The Navy chief expressed his gratitude to the crews of the Russian combat ships that had participated in the Komodo 2025 international drills off the coast of Indonesia.

The final stage of the Komodo 2025 international naval exercise took place off the Island of Bali of the Republic of Indonesia on February 24. The exercise brought together over 20 combat ships of various states. Russia was represented in the drills by the Pacific Fleet’s corvettes Rezky and Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov and medium sea tanker Pechenga.
