Weekly inflation stands at 0.2% in Russia-statistics

In annual terms, inflation in Russia was 10.33% as of March 31, 2025

MOSCOW, April 2. /TASS/. Inflation in Russia amounted to 0.2% in the period from March 25 to 31, the Russian Federal Statistical Service (Rosstat) reported.

Inflation amounted to 0.12% from March 18 to 24. Consumer prices in Russia gained 0.55% since early March and 2.61% from the year start.

In annual terms, inflation in Russia was 10.33% as of March 31, 2025.

The price hike in the food sector was the most notable for potatoes (4%), beet (2.5%), white cabbage (2.1%), tomatoes (1.7%), carrots (0.8%), onions, beef and edible salt (0.5%). Prices lost 0.8% for hen eggs and 0.3% for chicken meat and rice.

In the essential goods segment, the price hike was 0.4% for diapers and 0.3% for toilet soap and paper. Among other nonfoods, prices edged up by 0.8% for shampoos. TV and smartphone prices lost 0.6%. Gasoline prices added 0.1%.
