MOSCOW, April 1. /TASS/. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi conveyed greetings from Chinese President Xi Jinping to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"First of all, let me convey the warmest greetings from your longtime friend, [Chinese] President Xi Jinping," he said during a meeting with the Russian leader.
Wang Yi emphasized that thanks to the efforts of the two leaders, political trust between Russia and China continues to grow and strategic relations are rock-solid.
Wang Yi, who heads the Chinese Foreign Ministry and the Chinese Communist Party Central Committee’s Foreign Affairs Commission Office, arrived in Moscow on an official visit on March 31. His visit will continue until April 2.
On April 1, he met with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov. The sides signed a plan of diplomatic consultations for 2025.
