X-Shot Micro 2.0 Reshell 2.1 – Kickback Double-Action Sidegrade is out now!

Guess what’s out now! It’s a sidegrade of the M2R2! (The double-action one with the inline clip.)

This reshell is a “sidegrade” of the M2R2 inline-clip variant. It has the same core features (Double Action, 3 halfdart Inline Clip), but instead comes with LARP-friendly sled-action and appearance that pops with every dart fired. It looks cool in its very own way~

Like with the previous variant you can load in a total of three halfdarts and just pop them off one after another, without having to flick the blaster down after every shot. (Thanks to Corvus for making that design possible!)

(I made it because someone asked me to, basically. Curiosity won.)

If you already bought the M2R2: Hit me up on Etsy and you get this update for free!

Here’s where you can get it:

  1. Etsy! (For the files. Maybe one of these days I’ll also sell these physically, if I find the time. >_> )
  2. Patreon! (Where you can get all the files of everything I made, for the low, low price of 7 bucks a month~ (Or just 2, if you want to support what I do, but don’t care about getting any files.)

The assembly instructions meanwhile can be found here. (On the left sidebar, in the usual place.)

Modern Widescreen Remake Sequel

I present: The sequel to the modern widescreen remake of the game that never was. It came with an interface modernization, an increase to the total party size of 6 (from previously 4), as well as a new lighting engine. It also added an expanded map, new floors, and new quest chains, for an entirely new story experience.

Fans of the original received it with mixed feelings.

[Picatinny Attachment] 2×6 Dart Holder

And then I added a picatinny rail to the bottom of the Micro 2 Reshell 2 and figured I have to make something to put there. So here it is! A 2×6 Halfdart attachment. The thing has bendy clips, so you just click it on there and you’re good. Looks pretty neat, too.

Here’s how you can get it:

  1. Etsy (STL files only)
  2. Patreon (Available for 2€ tier supporters this time around, too. I wanna try something there to get more people onto my Patreon in general. ’tis lean times.)

Thinking about it, I can make these as long or short as I desire, too. And so can you! (with the STL or STEP files from the Patreon)

Game Screen That Never Was

I finished drawing a thing once more! Inspired by the games I have been playing recently (Legends of Amberland 1 and 2), and a certain feeling of nostalgia and longing for something that doesn’t exist (Might & Magic 4/5, World of Xeen but cyberpunk).

Doing all this pixel art at this scale has been pretty fun, but I also could not tell you how long I spent on it. Certainly more than an hour.

Oh, and of course there’s a progress recording too, because my art program (openCanvas 6) does that for free~

The second Micro 2.0 reshell is double-out now!

This is a shell for the X-Shot Micro 2.0, the newest tiny blaster variant from X-Shot/Zuru. All the hardware you need is already provided by this Micro, too. You just need to print parts in the colors of your chosing and you’re good to go to take a screwdriver to the blaster.

This is the second entry in the second line (this is only going to get more complicated in naming) of Micro reshells, focused on the 2.0. Its core feature is a double-action trigger that you use with two fingers. So you can both prime and fire the blaster by pulling it through. It’s also the first reshell that has an optional hardware requirement (hardware optionality?) in the form of a rubberband to get a trigger return. Otherwise you have to do it manually after every shot. (Hence the bar on the front of the trigger.)

Now to figure out how to make this take a magazine…

Oh, and as usual, here are the relevant links:

  • Etsy! (For the STL files.)
  • Patreon! (For the STEP and STL files, or just to support the sciences. That is highly appreciated, too. Making cool stuff for a living feels nice.)
  • The Assembly Instructions! (Ideally it should be self-guiding, but these are nice to have.)

And lastly, have a few color inspirations:

EDIT: Now it comes with an inline clip variant~

Now complete: Motortier Number 26 and Solektrik-9 Number 5!

One more done! This took a bit, what with the holidays having happened and such. Came out pretty nice, though. This blaster is printed in PETG as well (that’s my new default), so it should be able to withstand most summer heats.

This blaster also comes with a bunch of magazines and extra shells. Check this out:

Then there’s the Solektrik-9, the cyber uzi~

It’s mostly made of PETG, except for the sparkly purple. That one’s PLA (since PETG doesn’t come in that color yet.) Quite a sexy beast as well (assuming you have magazines that function well. I cleaned and oiled all of mine after this.)

I juuust barely managed to get all of this stuff into one package. So off to the post office it goes now!

The mega minigun refactoring continues.

That’s the third overhaul, and it’s about 80% done now. Systems are in place again and connecting to each other. Only the battery compartment in the back is left to do before I am back to where I was before, except with Ryobi. That thing comes with its own safety mechanisms as well as 18V (unlike the 3S LiPo I was using beforehand, which provides 12V). So that’s more oomph for more dakka.

So once that is done I can actually make positive progress again. Which means figuring out how to feed this thing, ergonomics, weight-distribution, LEDs, making it pretty… y’know, the simple stuff.

Ammo Storage Coffer v1.0

I am now presenting: This fine furniture item from the GenCo Storagewerke~

This is a storage box with a lid that can hold shells (or anything else if you so desire, really.), in the stylings of GenCo. The only hardware it needs are M3x12mm, and M3x20mm screws. (Wood screws, self-tapping, counter-sunk.)

Right now it has two insert types. One for 40Max shells, one for BungieMax shells. It can hold 5×8 shells, for a total of 40. The insert is divided into two halves, so you could half one side one shell type, and the other half another.

I have also included channels on the sides (inside), in case you want to light this up with LED strips. (Which would be a cool thing to do and I have tested and confirmed that it works~)

Here are the relevant links:

  1. Etsy (Digital Only for now)
  2. Assembly Instructions
  3. Patreon (Where you can either grab the STEP files for the box only, or subscribe in general to get the files for everything I’ve made, including prototypes!)
