Uh-Oh: Fox News Reporter Called Trump Out 3 Times In Just 1 Day On Live TV

Peter Doocy had some tough talk for the White House as the markets tanked.

Fox News is usually reliably friendly territory for President Donald Trump, but that changed at least briefly on Tuesday when the right-wing network’s White House correspondent got surprisingly blunt.

Peter Doocy ― who was also a bit of a thorn in President Joe Biden’s side ― said before a White House briefing that Trump and his DOGE team have been trying to get federal workers to retire as part of an effort to shrink the government.

β€œBut it’s tough to make the argument that you should retire if your retirement accounts are getting throttled, which is what is happening right now,” he said.

As he spoke, a graphic on the screen showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average had plunged by 680 points by that point in the day, part of a market collapse that’s seen a drop of roughly 3,000 points over the last month:

During the briefing itself, he put White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on the spot.

β€œYou’re sure nobody here at the White House shorted the Dow?” he snarked.

Then he asked about those federal workers he had mentioned earlier.

β€œIs there any concern here that it’s gonna be harder to ask certain federal workers to retire if they look at their retirement accounts and they’re getting rocked every day?” he asked.

She didn’t really answer the question:

And he didn’t have a problem bringing it up to Trump himself during an event outside the White House, where the president promoted Tesla and announced that he was buying one of the vehicles himself ― and doing so at full price.

β€œWhat is your message, President Trump, buying a new car while there are some folks who will see this clip at home and they are struggling with their retirement accounts, down at the moment, uncertainty about work,” he began, as Trump started to reply:

Trump’s critics on social media were surprised ― and in some cases thrilled ― by the unexpected turn of events:

Peter Doocy is doing more than some Democrats.

Never thought I would see any actual pushback from Peter Doocy. Something has changed. Is the world still turning on its axis?

Doocy is sounding coherent something must be wrong.

BREAKING: In a stunning twist, far-right Fox News reporter Peter Doocy just trashed Trump for his failing economic policy. This is wild.
