If you've ever wondered what Dwyane Wade keeps tucked inside his trusty man purse, you're in luck.
The retired NBA superstar opened up to Jenna Bush Hager about the benefits of using a “murse” during the March 12 episode of TODAY with Jenna & Friends.
“I’ve carried a murse for a long time,” said Wade, as several candid images of him holding various small bags appeared onscreen.
Noting one image of the dapper athlete and his wife, actor Gabrielle Union, strolling a brick street together, Jenna asked, “Wait are y’all in Paris?”
“Yeah, you know, fashion week,” Wade responded.
“That’s like schoolgirl chic or something right there,” Jenna replied.
Wade went on to explain that he finds carrying a murse to be as convenient as it is stylish.
“I don’t understand, like, men, normally we have to put our wallets and our phones and our money and everything in our pockets,” he said, with a disappointed expression.
“I pay a lot for these clothes. I’m not trying to walk out like that,” he added. “So now I get to put stuff in a bag.”
A Studio 1A crew member emerged to hand Wade’s current murse to him, prompting laughter from around the show's set.
“This is my travel murse right now,” Wade said, unzipping his bag. “I’ve got a lot of things in here.
"One of the most important things in here is, I've got my Jenna friendship bracelet," he continued, holding up the new bangle Jenna gave him earlier this week when he began his co-hosting stint on Jenna & Friends.
Other essentials packed in his bag include a tube of lip balm, a bottle of eye drops and a bag full of dental floss sticks.
Jenna said she was impressed by the neat arrangement of Wade's bag.
"I'm very organized. I've got a touch of OCD," Wade told her.
Wade concluded the fun segment by posing with his chin on his hand as he held his "chic" murse next to him.
"I just walk like this, you know, I carry my little murse," he said, as studio members clapped.
"I feel like you're bringing the murse back," said Jenna.
"Bringing it back. Let's do it. Why not?" Wade agreed. "I've got everything I need in here."
