To her greatest surprise, Eric was only out to buy his wife jewelry. Sheila is overjoyed that he is starting to be swayed by her charms. Lauren on the other hand is anxious to finally confront Sheila. She already fantasizes about telling Eric the truth about Sheila's marriage to Scott as well as the kidnapping and murder. Therefore, Lauren completely misses out on her husband's deteriorating health when Scott goes to a nearby pharmacy to buy some medication for his pain. At Café Russe, James tries to reassure Taylor that there is a legitimate reason why Brooke and Ridge are enjoying a champagne dinner. Meanwhile, Ridge explains to Brooke that Eric's health is suffering due to the stress of working for her.
