Abstract
A flexible hose device includes a flexible hose (10) having an outer peripheral portion, a flexible tube (20) snugly engaged onto the outer peripheral portion of the flexible hose (10), and a coil spring (23) embedded in the flexible tube (20) by such as the molding or the mold injection processes, for preventing the flexible tube (20) and the flexible hose (10) frog being deformed. The flexible tube (20) may include a coupler (11) attached to one end for coupling to a water reservoir and for receiving the water from the water reservoir.
Description
i o, i f FLEgIBLE HOSE ASSE11BLY HAVING FROTEGTIVE DEVICE
The present invention relates to a flezible hose assembly haying a protective device for preventing the bending and deformation of the flexible hose.
OS As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, a typical flexible hose is illustrated and includes a coupler 11 pravided and attached to one end thereof for detachably attaching or securing to the faucet 12, for ezample.
The typical flezible hose say be easily bent and 10 deformed in various portions 16 thereof after use. In order to prevent the formation of the bent or deformed portions 16 in the typical flexible hose 10, a helical spring or a coil spring 14 may be provided and attached onto the flezible hose 10. However, the flezible hose 10 may not be snugly received in the coil spring 14, such that the bent or deforoed portions 1G may also have a good chance to be formed in the flexible hose 10.
The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a flexible hose assembly including a protective device for preventing the bending and deformation of the flexible hose.
In accordance with one aspect of the invention, there is provided a flexible hose assembly comprising a flexible hose including an outer peripheral portion, a flezible tube snugly engaged auto the outer peripheral portion of the flexible base, and a coil spring embedded in the flexible tube, for preventing the flexible tube and the flexible hose from being deformed.
FIG. 1 is a partial perspective view illustrating OS a typical flezible hose;
FIG. 2 is a partial plan view of the typical flexible hose;
FIG. 3 is a partial cross sectional view of a flexible hose assembly in accordance with the present invention; and FIG. 4 is an enlarged partial cross sectional view of the flexible hose assembly.
Referring to the drawings, and initially to FIG.
3, a flexible hose assembly comprises a flexible hose 10 including a coupler 11 provided and attacbed to one end thereof for detachably attaching or securing to the faucet 12 or a water reservoir; and a protective and flexible tube 20 snugly engaged onto the outer peripheral portion of the fleaibie hose 10. The protective and flexible tube 20 may be made of robber, plastic, or the other synthetic materials, and include a flexibility for allowing the tube 20 to be bent along with the hose l0.
For preventing the tube 20 from being deformed when the tube 20 and the hose 10 are bent, a coil spring 23 is farther provided and engaged in or embedded in or along the tube 20 and may be engaged into *he tube 20 while forging or manufacturing the tube 20 with such as the molding or gold injection processes. It is preferable that the coil spring 23 is a coopression spring 23.
OS In operation, as shown in FIG. 4, when the tube 20 and the hose 10 are bent, the protective and flexible tube 20 ~sy be snugly engaged with the outer peripheral portion of the flexible hose 10, and the coil spring 23 esy prevent the protective and flexible tube 20 and thus the flexible hose 10 frow being deforsed.
Accordingly, the flexible hose assembly includes a protective and flexible tube for snugly engaging onto the outer peripheral portion of the flexible hose and for preventing the flexible hose frov being defor~d.
FIG. 1 is a partial perspective view illustrating OS a typical flezible hose;
FIG. 2 is a partial plan view of the typical flexible hose;
