Description
Mold for the manufacture of agglomerated material bodies. The object of the invention is a qua drangular mold for the manufacture of bodies of agglomerated material.
It is characterized by the fact that its side walls constitute two by two of the parts in the form of dihedral angles and that the parts are provided with fastening devices allowing them to be assembled quickly one by one. the other, all with the aim of facilitating the assembly and disassembly of the mold.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the mold. Figs. 1 and 2 are two perspective views showing it in the assembled and dismantled position.
The mold shown is used for. the. manufacture of bodies of agglomerated material, for example concrete, of square cross section.
It is composed of two metal parts a, b having the general shape of a right diè angle thus constituting two of the side walls of the mold and having a body c, as well as two lower flanges d, upper e.
The two parts are held together by two devices secured at their vertical ends; each of them comprises a hook f pivoting horizontally on a tab g of one of the parts, a loop lc intended to be engaged at one of its ends in the hook f and pivoting horizontally to the other in a rotating arm i around an axis j of the other part; the pivot axes of the. loop h and rotation of arm i do not coincide.
When we want to mold a body, we put the two parts a, b on a support surface and we bring them closer to each other until their vertical ends are in contact; the loops h are engaged in the hooks f and the arms i are rotated so as to strongly apply these ends to one another and to keep them assembled. The mold is then ready for use.
For demoulding, we begin by taking the arms j backwards to stop the tightening, we release the loops la from the hooks f and we move the two parts apart from each other.
This embodiment can be handled and used with much more ease than a four-part mold, since one always handles .two walls idu mo ale at a time; it allows: on the other hand a much easier mold release than a one-piece mold, especially if the molded bodies have relatively large dimensions.
The devices for assembling the parts may differ from those which have been described. The quadrangular mold may have a cross section other than a square section.
