Description

Tachistoskop (Schnellseher) mit zwei übereinander gleitenden, Ausschnitte tragenden Platten. Es gibt bereits Tachistoskope (Schnellseher), bei denen sich eine mit einem Ausschnitte versehene Plätte im freien Fall senkrecht an einer anderen Platte vorbeibewegt, hinter welcher ein Bild oder Buchstaben angebracht werden können. Diese Apparate haben jedoch den Nachteil, daß das Wortbild von oben nach unten auf einmal in seiner ganzen Breite erscheint, wodurch das Lesen erschwert wird, weil es nicht naturgemäß ist.Tachistoscope (quick viewer) with two cutouts sliding one above the other load-bearing panels. Die Platte c besitzt einen Ausschnitte und wird mit Hilfe eines veränderlichen Gewichtes f und Schnur g, wie üblich, an der Platte b vorbeibewegt, so daß seich die beiden Ausschnitte d und e für kurze Zeit decken und das dahinter befindliche Wortbild sichtbar wird. Je nachdem mehr oder weniger Gewichte f aufgelegt werden, bewegt sich die Platte c schneller oder langsamer vorüber.
