Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a container closure with a pierceable closure body for removing or adding liquids by means of a blunt hollow needle from or in a container, this closure body consisting at least partially of a highly elastic material which is cut at least 75% of its thickness at the piercing point . The closure can be carried out independently in the form of a stopper or as an insert plate for a closure.
In the field of diagnostic devices, samples, mostly human body fluids, control samples, some analyte-containing liquids are pipetted with an artificial matrix and reagents with the help of automatic pipetting stations. Essentially, these devices consist of a cannula movable in the X-Y-Z direction, which is connected to a pump device via a flexible hose. Due to the design of these devices, only small forces can be exerted on the cannula. For reasons of occupational safety, the use of ground cannulas is prohibited.
The samples / test tubes must be used for various reasons, e.g. B. Infection risk or risk of evaporation, be hermetically sealed before, during and after the pipetting and this closure must also be guaranteed after multiple / repeated use.
Devices in the sense of this invention are understood to mean all instruments which or with which a liquid transfer can be carried out or carried out in or from a container. Devices that carry out this transfer automatically are preferred. Devices which are used in the field of diagnosis of diseases of the human or animal organism are particularly preferred.
Similar container closures are already known for containers with pharmaceutical contents. In this case, the cannula of a syringe is used to pierce the closure body at a possibly weakened point and the bottle contents are filled into the injection syringe without the bottle closure needing to be removed. In order to facilitate this process, it is also known that the closure bodies are designed as stoppers sitting in the bottle neck, the shaft of which is hollow apart from a base surface, this base surface having a convex curvature pointing away from the interior of the bottle.
The closure bodies of such known bottle closures generally consist of butyl, natural or silicone rubber or similar materials which are sufficiently chemically resistant to their surroundings and in particular to the contents of the bottle. Such a known design is such. B. in the patent specification DE 19 01 239.
A disadvantage of the known embodiments is that they cannot be used for blunt cannulas and that even when using ground injection needles, a relatively large force has to be used to pierce the closure bodies.
The present invention was therefore based on the object of providing a closure body which can be pierced with little force by means of a blunt cannula for liquid transfer and thereby ensures a safe and hygienic closure before, during and after removal, in particular after repeated use. This closure body should be as similar as possible in its outer contours to the previously known and used closure bodies, so that, for. B. the existing machines for closing do not need to be converted.
- Container closure with a pierceable closure body for liquid transfer by means of a hollow needle from or into a container, this closure body being characterized by the combination of the following features:
- a) The closure body (1) consists at least in the penetration area (23) made of elastic material, such as natural or synthetic rubber, such as.
- B. silicone, bromobutyl or chlorobutyl rubber which can optionally also be coated with PTFE, in particular from a butyl rubber
- b) the closure body is cut in the penetration area (23) to at least 75% of the thickness (9), preferably from the inside of the container.
A container closure as described above is preferred, the incision (9) consisting of 4 preferably of equal length, starting from the center of the closure body, arranged at right angles to one another (24).
The invention further relates to a container closure as described above, which consists of a closure body lower part (15) and a cover membrane (14).
The invention also relates to a container closure as described above, the closure consisting of a plate (20).
Experiments have now surprisingly shown that when the closure body is designed according to the invention, both the requirement for penetrability and the requirement for reclosability and security are taken into account can be worn. The material thickness of the closure body can vary widely.
Containers in the sense of the present invention are, for. B. Vessels that are used to hold samples of body fluids, such as. B. test tubes or blood collection vessels, also containers that serve to hold reagents or liquid waste in devices. The various embodiments are known to the person skilled in the art.
The container closure according to the invention can in principle be part of any closure device known per se to the person skilled in the art, which can be made partially or entirely from a highly elastic material.
In a preferred form, the material thickness of the closure body in the area of the perforation point is 0.1-5, preferably 1-3, particularly preferably 2 mm.

A container closure consists of a
In the middle of the end face (6) the closure body (1) has a preferably cruciform incision (24) of preferably about 5 mm, starting from the center M of the closure body (1), the incision preferably between 75 and 90% of the Cut the material thickness at the incision point (9). The remaining membrane (12) ensures u. a. the hermetic seal and the necessary mechanical stability during storage and transport. The material thickness in the incised part (9) is preferably 0.1-5 mm. This ensures that enough material is available around the puncture in order to obtain a sufficient sealing distance for the secure closure of the container (3) after the cannula has been pulled out of the incision site (9).
Die besondere Arbeitsweise beim erfindungsgemäßen Behälterverschluß wird nachstehend erläutert (Fig. 4 a, b).The special operation of the container closure according to the invention is explained below (Fig. 4 a, b).
When the cannula (10) hits the surface (11) of the closure body (1), the entire incision site (9) is first stretched by the pressure of the cannula (10). As the cannula advances further, tensile forces occur in the region of the membrane (12) in accordance with the further expansion, which lead to the membrane (12) tearing at the point of penetration. The cannula (10), then sealed by the material of the closure body at the point of penetration, can remove liquid from the container or dispense it into the container.
The closure body (1) shown in FIG. 3 has a separate cover membrane (14) which can be connected to the bottom part of the closure body (15) either by pressure, adhesion or cohesion. The lower part of the closure body (15) is cut through at the incision point (9) over the entire material thickness. The membrane (14) can preferably be made from a less elastic material with low tensile strength, such as aluminum foil. In this case, the material thickness can also be less than 0.1 mm.
The closure body (1) shown in Figure 5 (ac) consists of a plate (20) made of a highly elastic material (septum) and a crimp cap (2) or a screw cap, which either directly attaches the plate (20) to the flange surface of the Press collar (4) (Fig. 5 a) of the container (3) or a carrier (21) (Fig. 5 c), which in turn can be made of an elastic material. The puncture area (23) (cf.
As shown in FIG. 2, the closure body can be cut in a line, cross (FIG. 2 a) or star shape (FIG. 2 b) in each of the inventive embodiments. Designs with a cross-shaped and three-pronged incision are preferred.
The incisions are preferably made so that they are open to the inside of the container (22).
