Abstract

Novel compounds of the formula < IMAGE > in which R<3> is H or < IMAGE > where R<6> is alkyl, haloalkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, alkoxyalkyl, cycloalkyl or < IMAGE > where X is alkyl, haloalkyl, nitro, cyano or alkoxy and m and n in each case are O to 3, are obtained by acidic cyclisation of an acetal of the formula < IMAGE > and, if desired, subsequent acylating introduction of the radical < IMAGE > into the resulting compound (I) where R<3> = H. The compounds of the formula (I) are effective herbicides.
