Abstract

There is a rod which is hinged on part of the vehicle so that the lower end points towards the ground and contacts it in case of dangerous deflation of the tire. This rod can pivot sufficiently to close a micro-switch in an electrical circuit which can operate a light or sound alarm. A timing relay can be fitted in this circuit. The rod can be made of two hinged parts which relatively pivot when the end contacts the ground and which nullify the effects of reverse vehicle motion. The rod is normally held against a stop by a spring.
