Abstract

The cable clip is used to hold a length of supply cable in position within an electrical equipment housing, the clip being in the form of a strip (10) of insulating material, e.g. moulded plastics, with a central zone (12) for clamping around the cable. The strip (10) has a hole (26) located either side of the central zone (12) for receiving a fixing screw, securing the strip to the housing, and two terminal means (14) adjacent either edge of the central zone (12), each receiving the end of one of the wires of the supply cable as well as the end of an internal wire for the equipment contained in the housing. Pref. each terminal means comprises a metal sleeve with two tongues engaging the ends of the respective wires.
