Abstract

Compsn. for controlling fungual or bacterial diseases of plants contains as active ingredient a salt of formula (I) where R1 is H or 1-6C alkyl R2 is 1-18C alkyl, or R1+R2 are together ethylene or propylene opt. substd. by 1-3C alkyl, R3 and R4 are H, 1-18C alkyl, 3-7C cycloalkyl, 3-18C alkenyl, phenyl or benzyl. (I) are new cpds. provided that R1+R2 are not opt. substd. ethylene or propylene and (a) neither R3 nor R4 is H, or (b) one of R3 and R4 is H and the other is 6-18c alkyl, and in this case R2 is 1-6C alkyl Used for preventative or curative treatment esp. of mildew on vines, tobacco, hops, tomatoes, cereals and cucurbits. They have systemic activity and are practically nontoxic to plants.
