Abstract
1,114,204. Radio receiving circuits. TELE. FUNKEN PATENTVERWERTUNGS G.m.b.H. 19 Aug., 1965 [26 Sept., 1964], No. 35547/65. Heading H3Q. In a tuning arrangement, for multi-band radio or television receivers, two transistors 3, 4 are connected so that when the receiver is switched for reception on one band transistor 3 serves as a grounded base self-oscillating mixer and transistor 4 serves as a grounded emitter I.F. amplifier and when the receiver is switched for reception on another band transistor 3 serves as a grounded base oscillator and transistor 4 as a grounded emitter mixer. The mixer transistors 3 or 4 may be preceded by an amplifier transistor 1. Switch 5 modifies the tuning of the receiver so that either U.H.F. or V.H.F. Band III signals from 7, 14 may be received when transistor 3 is the mixer and transistor 4 is the I.F. amplifier. Then by operating switch 6, so as to connect transistor 3 as an oscillator, transistor 4 as the mixer and to change the tuning circuits (not shown), V.H.F. Band I signals may be received from 14.
