Abstract

1,164,107. Firing system. COMPAGNIE FRANCAISE THOMSON HOUSTONHOTCHKISS BRANDT. 17 Nov., 1966 [26 Nov., 1965], No. 51626/66. Heading F3C. A firing system comprises a fire director and a launching device comprising a plurality of divergent firing tubes arranged in at least one group which can be fired simultaneously or in a short interval of time less than the time constant of the system. In the construction disclosed the range is set for 1À5 km. and in a vertical plane the angle between the tubes of which there are preferably seventeen is 1À5 mR and in planes at right angles to the vertical plane the angle between the tubes is 3 mR. The fire director comprises a remote controlled sighting device, e.g. a tracking radar, and a computer.
