Abstract

1,196,925. Shuttleless looms. SULZER BROS. Ltd. 28 Sept., 1967 [12 Oct., 1966], No. 44249/67. Heading D1E. In a dummy shuttle loom a weft 26" projects from both sides of the shed and is clamped at both sides after beat up and the ends are either tucked into. the next shed or cut off later. If the weft is to be tucked in the clamp 28 move downwardly to present the weft to a hooked needle 30. If the wefts are to be left projecting a finger 34 moves down before the needle arrives to push the weft ends below the needle book so that when the clamp 28 subsequently moves down it continues to move below the needle. The finger 34 may be controlled by the heald frames of from the stay.
