Abstract

1,197,884. Web roll holders. Packaging rolled material. KODAK Ltd. 29 Sept., 1967 [30 Sept., 1966], No. 43911/66. Heading A4G. [Also in Division B8] A web roll 11, Figs. 1, 4 is supported for dispensing by having projecting core ends 12 entering apertures 14, Fig. 3, in rectangular flanges 15, e.g. of polystyrene or folded card, and a package is formed by the roll and flanges being covered, using loading board 18, by a waterproof foil bag 16 and cardboard case 17. Friction between roll and flanges may be reduced by lacquering or coating with foil or plastics sheet or by using washers.
