Abstract
1298683 Stainless steel coatings BETHLEHEM STEEL CORP 17 Nov 1969 [18 Nov 1968] 19347/72 Divided out of 1298682 Headings C7D and C7F A steel strip substrate has a Cr-containing stainless steel coating on one side having a sintered powder matt-finish surface and a bright Cr-containing stainless steel coating on the other side. It may be made by applying Cr-containing powder to one side of the strip, placing coated sides facing non-coated sides, and using halogen to transport some of the Cr thereto, as disclosed in Specification 1298682.
