Abstract
1345974 Fluid-flowmeters DIESSEL GmbH & CO 1 July 1971 [7 July 1970] 30772/71 Headings G4D D6Y D6C1 D6C2 and D7X In a fluid-flowmeter the flow is fed via both a volume meter 2, Fig. 2, and a density meter 3, the outputs from the meters being processed to give an indication of the total mass flow. As described each impulse representing an incremental volume of fluid-flow is fed via a shaper 13 to (1) the units decade of a counter 21 and (2) after a delay a gate 15 which is then enabled for a fixed time to pass pulses, the frequency of which represents the density of the fluid, to the 10<SP>-3</SP> decade of the counter. The frequency signal is derived in a converter 18 receiving a current or voltage significant signal representing the density. The meter output may be fed direct to indicators to display the total volumetric flow and the fluid density.
