135,527. Beach, W. J., and Markly, H. L. April 15, 1918. Feeding webs.-Relates to apparatus for trimming the edges of wall-paper. The invention is described in connexion with a pasting-machine, in which the paper is led from the reel 11 over the bed roller 22, under the rotary cutting-disks 27, over a guide roller 45, and over the paste roller 48, which runs in the paste container 1. The paper reel is mounted on a spindle 11, Fig. 6, provided with an adjustable flange 16 and a fixed flange 14. The flange 14 has a number of radial slots to receive spring fingers 18 which may be pressed outwards by'an adjustable sleeve 21 to bind against the eye of the roll of paper, so that the unwinding of the paper imparts motion to the spindle which, by its pulley 8, drives the cutter spindle.
