Abstract

1465279 Securing bolts BUTLERS Ltd 9 July 1974 [2 Aug 1973] 36710/73 Heading F2H [Also in Division F4] A moulded reflector unit 1 for a vehicle rear lamp has a bore 6 therethrough to receive a bolt B, the bore being axially tapered such that a part of it has a diameter less than that of the bolt shank S, and means is provided to hold the bolt head H non-rotatably relative to the bore. Preferably the narrowest part of the bore has a diameter greater than the diameter of d of the bolt less twice the depth t of the bolt thread, and the widest part of the bore has a diameter greater than the bolt diameter d. The means to hold the bolt head is a hexagonal recess 8 coaxial with the bore 6. As shown, the reflector unit 1 has two bores 6, 7 and integral reflectors 2, 3.
